Eclipse Packaging adds second Nilpeter press to support growth

The 12-color FA-22 will join the Canadian converter's existing Nilpeter press as the converter moves into a new production facility in Ontario.

Canada’s Eclipse Packaging has ordered a new 12-color Nilpeter FA-22 press as the Kingsville, Ontario-based converter expands its label and flexible packaging production capabilities.

The investment follows the installation of Eclipse Packaging’s first Nilpeter press, a 17″ 12-color model equipped with advanced embellishment capabilities, in the third quarter of 2024. Less than two years later, increased demand has prompted the company to add a second Nilpeter platform.

Scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2026, the FA-22 will provide additional capacity, productivity, flexibility and automation. The installation will coincide with Eclipse Packaging’s move into a new production facility, where the two Nilpeter presses will operate alongside one another.

“When we installed our first Nilpeter press in 2024, we knew we had invested in a platform we could build our business around,” says Keith Pickard, owner and president of Eclipse Packaging. “The performance, reliability and support we’ve experienced gave us the confidence to invest in a second Nilpeter. As we move into our new facility, the FA-22 will play a key role in helping us continue our growth and serve our customers even better.”

The 12-color FA-22 is expected to become one of the centerpieces of the new facility and support Eclipse Packaging’s continued expansion in labels and flexible packaging.

“Watching a company like Eclipse Packaging grow this quickly is exactly why we do what we do,” adds John Crammer, sales consultant at Nilpeter USA. “The fact that Eclipse is already investing in a second Nilpeter is the strongest endorsement we could ask for.”
